Jonny Nelson

Jonny Nelson is a seasoned broadcast journalist and presenter with extensive experience in various media roles. Currently a contributor for The Independent since July 2022 and a producer, presenter, and broadcast journalist at ITN since March 2015, Jonny specializes in producing, scripting, and editing news stories across multiple platforms including ITV2 and Channel 5. Additionally, Jonny has been a television presenter for the BBC's Saturday Mash-Up! since August 2017, engaging young audiences with live children's programming. Jonny also hosts multiple national awards ceremonies, anchors news segments on financial topics for SWIFT, and presented the show Crime Swipe on A&E Television Network. Jonny holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Central Lancashire.
