Derrick Wright

Derrick Wright is an experienced transportation and operations executive, currently serving as Vice President of Operations and Mechanical at The Indiana Rail Road Company since November 2022. Prior to this role, Derrick was the Chief Operating Officer at the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District from June 2020 to December 2022, and Vice President of Operations at Genesee & Wyoming Inc. from April 2014 to March 2020, where responsibility included oversight of operating departments for multiple railroads and management of operating and capital budgets. Derrick's career began with CSX where roles included Superintendent, Terminal Manager, and Trainmaster, focusing on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Derrick holds a Master of Science in Transportation Management and Supply Chain Operations from the University of Denver and a Bachelor's degree in Business from Eastern Kentucky University.
