Esteban J. Rios

Esteban J. Rios, LCSW has a wide range of work experience in the field of social work. Esteban J. began their career as a Resident Advisor at Covenant House International in 2002 and later worked as an Intensive Case Manager at Union Settlement, providing community-based case management services to children and youth with mental health diagnoses. Esteban J. then joined HELP USA as a Case Manager before transitioning to ACMH, INC. as a Senior Intensive Case Manager, where they provided community-based case management services to adults with mental health diagnoses.

In 2010, Esteban joined The Jericho Project as a Mental Health Case Manager and later became a Case Manager/Social Worker. Esteban J. then moved on to Comunilife, Inc. as a Clinical Supervisor, supervising a team and overseeing case management services for individuals experiencing homelessness with HIV/AIDS and mental health diagnoses or substance use disorders. Esteban returned to ACMH, INC. as a Program Director, providing oversight and leadership for a supportive housing residence.

From 2017 to 2023, Esteban worked at The Jericho Project in various roles including Program Director and Managing Program Director. In these positions, they provided clinical and administrative supervision for multiple programs serving individuals and families at risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness. Esteban J. also managed permanent supportive housing residences for veterans and young adults with mental health diagnoses or substance use disorders.

In 2023, Esteban joined Rula as a Clinical Therapist and The Institute for Family Health as an Associate Program Director for Behavioral Health.

Esteban J. Rios, LCSW completed an Advanced Certificate in Executive Leadership in the Non-Profit Sector from NYU Silver School of Social Work in 2022. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College in 2012 and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from The City College of New York in 2002. Esteban J. is also certified as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the New York State Education Department in 2021, and holds additional certifications including Mental Health First Aid, Narcan, Seminar In Field Instruction (SIFI), Licensed Master Social Worker, and Motivational Interviewing.
