Sarah C Nosal

Sarah C Nosal, MD, FAAFP has a diverse work experience in the field of family medicine. Sarah C is currently serving as the Director at the American Academy of Family Physicians since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked at The Institute for Family Health for several roles including Vice President for Innovation & Optimization, Chief Medical Information Officer, Family Physician, and Medical Director of Urban Horizons Family Health Center.

Dr. Nosal has also been actively involved with the NYS Academy of Family Physicians, where they held various positions on the Board of Directors, including Immediate Past President, President, President Elect, Vice President, Secretary, and Director. Additionally, they served as a Delegate and Alternate Delegate for the American Academy of Family Physicians Congress of Delegates.

In terms of committee work, Dr. Nosal chaired the Clinical and Evaluation Committee at Healthix. Sarah C Nosal, MD, FAAFP completed their education at various institutions. From 1992 to 1996, they attended Georgetown Visitation. Following that, they enrolled at Bryn Mawr College from 1996 to 2000, where they earned an AB degree in Biology & Psychology with a concentration in Neural and Behavioral Sciences. Continuing their education, they went to Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2000 to 2004, graduating with an MD degree. Finally, from 2004 to 2007, Sarah pursued post-graduate training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine specifically in the field of Beth Israel Residency in Urban Family Medicine.
