Educational qualifications include an Honors Bachelor of Accounting Sciences from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Zimbabwe, alongside early training as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG Audit.

It was set up on 11 January 1918 and is a statutory body incorporated in terms of the Chartered Accountants Act [Chapter 27:02]. It is a leading professional membership organization that promotes and develops the accountancy profession in Zimbabwe.
