Ivan Burgara is an experienced economist and analyst specializing in the MENA and Central Asia regions, currently holding the position of Economist and Senior Analyst at the Institute of International Finance since September 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Analyst at the International Monetary Fund from July 2018 to July 2022, and earlier positions in various organizations such as MB Electric, The Silicon Valley Organization, Paradigm Consulting Group, East Bay Sanctuary Covenant, and participation as a Student Researcher at the Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development. Ivan Burgara holds a Master’s degree in International Economics and Finance from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy, Spanish, and Portuguese from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, Ivan Burgara is pursuing further studies at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.
