Dr. Soumen Basu

Dr. (Col) Soumen Basu has extensive work experience in the field of healthcare management. Dr. (Col) Soumen currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at The Institute of Neurosciences Kolkata, where they oversee training and consultancy in medical and allied paramedical fields. Prior to this role, Dr. Basu held the position of Group Medical Director at Medica Superspecialty Hospital in Kolkata from 2013 to 2019. Dr. (Col) Soumen'searlier experience includes serving as a Hospital Administrator at Army Medical College for nearly three decades, from 1984 to 2013.

Dr. (Col) Soumen Basu completed their Higher Secondary education at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya in Narendrapur, West Bengal from 1970 to 1976. Dr. (Col) Soumen then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Hospital and Health Care Facilities Administration/Management from Armed Force Medical College in Pune, graduating in 1995.
