Emma Beer

Emma Beer is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media relations and social media management. Currently serving as the Communications Manager at the Institution of Civil Engineers since February 2018, Emma has also held roles such as Media Relations Manager and Media Relations Officer within the organization. Prior to this, Emma worked as a Senior Media Officer at VisitBritain and as a Media Officer for the Police Federation of England and Wales. Emma's earlier experience includes positions such as Social Media Specialist at Wellington City Council, where responsibilities included managing various social media platforms, and roles in journalism at Radio New Zealand and The Nelson Mail. Emma holds a Bachelor of Communication with Honours in Linguistics from Massey University and a National Diploma in Applied Journalism.
