Mohammed Faris Makhdoom is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering with a Year in Industry at the University of Bristol, expected to graduate in 2024. Mohammed has gained valuable experience as a Structural Engineering Industrial Placement Trainee with EDF Nuclear Services, focusing on the Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C nuclear power plant projects. Additionally, Mohammed holds multiple leadership roles, including Vice President and Founding President of the Atomic Society at the University of Bristol, promoting careers in the civil nuclear sector. Mohammed serves as the Events Officer for the Institution of Civil Engineers Early Careers Network (Bristol & Bath), where event organization includes collaboration with industry professionals from renowned institutions. Further involvement includes roles as an Industrial Representative for the Bristol Civil Engineering Society and a Civil Engineering Ambassador for the School of Civil, Aerospace and Design Engineering at the University of Bristol. Previous experience includes a position as a Sales Floor Team Member at Clarks.
