Sunita Dhawan

Sunita Dhawan has extensive experience in managing and developing commercial training and development programs. Sunita has worked as the Head of Learning and Development at The Institution of Structural Engineers since 2019, where they are responsible for delivering a range of products and services to support lifelong learning for members.

Prior to that, Sunita worked at The Law Society from 2011 to 2018. Sunita served as the Operations Director of Education, Learning, and Events, where they managed a commercial business unit and ensured the delivery of a portfolio of products and services. Sunita also held the role of Director of Training and Events, where they were responsible for the Law Society's education and training strategy.

Before joining The Law Society, Sunita worked as the Interim Director of Membership Services at The Law Society of England and Wales, where they enhanced membership engagement and generated income. Sunita also held the position of Head of Events, Publications, eLearning, Venue Hire, and Catering, with P&L responsibility for revenue generation and delivery of events and training.

Sunita's earlier experience includes working as the Head of Event Management at The Faculty and Institute of Actuaries, where they managed the operational and strategic aspects of CPD events, and as an Assistant Director at the Investment Property Forum.

Overall, Sunita Dhawan has a strong background in managing commercial training and events, revenue generation, and strategic planning in various organizations.

Sunita Dhawan obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History from Yale University, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. Following this, they pursued their Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School from 1986 to 1989.
