Idyawati Hussein is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Utara Malaysia since November 2018, currently on sabbatical leave, and serves as the Deputy Director of the Institute for Smart Digital Opportunities, focusing on nurturing and upskilling UX talents for various sectors. Idyawati is also a Local Leader at the Interaction Design Foundation in Kuala Lumpur and has held the position of Talent Echo Architect at Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation, where leadership in the UX unit emphasizes citizen-centric digital government initiatives. Previously, Idyawati held roles as a UX Design Researcher and HCI Lead at MIMOS Berhad and lectured on Human-Computer Interaction at International Islamic University Malaysia. With a Master’s degree in Multimedia Technology from The University of Manchester and a Ph.D. in User Experience Design from International Islamic University Malaysia, Idyawati brings extensive expertise in UX research and education.
