Alia Nusseibeh

Alia Nusseibeh is an experienced educator currently serving as the Global Politics Teacher and Head of Department at The International Academy in Amman since August 2023. Nusseibeh previously held the position of IBDP Global Politics Teacher and MYP I&S Coordinator at Ahliyyah School for Girls and the Bishop's School for Boys from September 2018 to September 2023. Additional teaching roles include Global Politics Teacher at Mashrek International School from August 2015 to August 2019 and a brief experience as an intern/researcher at JO Magazine and Freedom House in 2005 and 2006. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies from SOAS University of London, a Postgraduate Degree in Education from the University of Bath, and a Bachelor's degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from German Jordanian University. Nusseibeh also holds an International Baccalaureate Educator Certificate, emphasizing a commitment to teaching and learning.
