Alessandro Blasi

Alessandro Blasi serves as Special Advisor to the Executive Director at the International Energy Agency (IEA) since September 2009, contributing strategic oversight and managing priority projects while maintaining relationships with the private sector. Previously, Alessandro worked as Lead Programme Manager and Senior Analyst within the IEA, focusing on energy economics, industry relations, and major publications such as the World Energy Outlook. Prior experience includes roles as Operating Director at WEC Italy and Personal Assistant to the Prime Minister's Representative for G8 Energy and Climate Change, with responsibilities encompassing international event coordination and policy preparation. Alessandro's early career involved supervision of international offshore projects at Saipem, bolstered by a Bachelor's degree in Geophysics and a Master's in Energy Resources Management from the Università di Bologna.
