Carina Gwennap

Carina Gwennap is an experienced Energy Data Officer at the International Energy Agency since March 2023, specializing in the migration of data pipelines to enhance data reliability and accuracy. Previously, Carina served as a Consultant at HEC Paris for a brief period in 2022 and as a Senior Process Engineer at Covanta from July 2021 to September 2022, where notable achievements included implementing automation initiatives to improve steamflow stability across multiple facilities. Carina also held roles as an ECDP Engineer and Plant Engineer at Covanta, managing facility capital projects and developing HMI interfaces for process control. Earlier positions included a Teaching Assistant at Cornell University, a Project Planning Intern at Covanta, and internships in advanced modeling at Corning Incorporated and medicinal chemistry at Gilead Sciences. Carina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Cornell University.
