Rebecca Gaghen

Rebecca Gaghen has extensive experience in international relations and energy policy, currently serving as the Head of the Division for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America at the International Energy Agency (IEA) since January 2006. Prior roles at the IEA include Head of Communications and Information, and prior to that, Gaghen was a Special Advisor at the US Department of Energy from 1998 to 2001 and served as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Department of State from 1991 to 1998. Gaghen’s career began as a Foreign Service Officer, followed by a role as a Consultant with the Advisory Board Company. Gaghen holds an education from Harvard University and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
