Michael Yard

Michael Yard currently serves as Senior Country Director at The International Foundation for Electoral Systems since September 2023. Prior to this role, Michael Yard accumulated extensive experience at IFES, fulfilling various consultant positions from 1994 to September 2023, including a tenure as Chief of Party for IFES Libya from March 2017 to June 2019 and Country Director for IFES Kenya from June 2011 to January 2017. Additional experience includes consulting for Creative Associates International (2001 - 2003) and serving as IT Director for the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina (1997 - 1999). Michael Yard holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Illinois Springfield, an MBA from City University of Seattle, and an Adult Education Credential from the University of California, Berkeley.
