Lauren Kruk-Winokur has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Lauren began their career in 2001 as a Support Services Library Assistant at Montclair Public Library. In this role, they provided assistance and support in the library's operations.
In 2004, Lauren joined Sirius Satellite Radio as an Associate Manager of Media Relations. Lauren was responsible for producing and handling publicity for the company's corporate achievements, ensuring coverage in major media outlets such as The New York Times, USA Today, Associated Press, TIME magazine, and Good Morning America. Additionally, they generated positive national publicity for Sirius through organizing high-profile events, including the launch of various radio shows such as Martha Stewart Living Radio, Deepak Chopra's Wellness Radio, and The Howard Stern Show.
Since 2008, Lauren has served as the Senior Vice President of Academic Programs & Communications at the IRTS Foundation (International Radio & Television Society). Their responsibilities include overseeing and managing the foundation's academic programs and diversity initiatives. These initiatives aim to train, educate, and motivate the next generation of media and communication professionals. Additionally, Lauren directs the Summer Fellowship Program, which is a key program of the IRTS Foundation.
Throughout their career, Lauren has effectively utilized their professional background and counseling education to assist hundreds of young professionals in their career development.
Lauren Kruk-Winokur attended Muhlenberg College from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. In 1998 and 1999, they also studied European Economics at the University of Antwerp. Later, in 2006 and 2007, they pursued a Certified Health Counselor program called CHC with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, in partnership with Columbia University.
