Olivia Thayer currently serves as the Head of Year and Individuals and Societies Teacher at The International School of Azerbaijan since July 2023. Prior to this role, Olivia held the position of Head of Department and Social Studies Teacher at GEMS Dubai American Academy from August 2017 to June 2023. Olivia has also worked as a Social Studies Teacher at GEMS Nations Academy and as a History Student Teacher at Weston High School. Additional experiences include roles as a Head Lifeguard, Front Desk Assistant, Lifeguard at Wellesley College, Teacher at Breakthrough Collaborative, Teaching Intern at The Steppingstone Foundation, and Student Teacher at Neighborhood School. Olivia earned a Bachelor of Arts in History with a focus on Teacher Education from Wellesley College, where study was completed in 2016.
