Yang Wang

Yang Wang currently serves as the Lead Mandarin Teacher at the International School of Texas since August 2019, while also working as an Instructor at the Austin Tennis Academy since March 2017 and as the Founder and Owner of Westlake Chinese Academy since January 2014. Prior to these roles, Yang Wang gained experience as a Thru-hiker and Ultralight backpacker during a self-employed freelance period focused on technical writing from June 2013 to June 2014. In the academic realm, Yang Wang was a Graduate Student in Seismology at The University of Texas at Austin from September 2007 to May 2013, where research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Stephen P. Research roles included a Research Seismologist position at the Cooperative Institute for Dynamic Earth Research in July 2012, a Seismic Processing Intern at ION Geophysical in June 2010, and a Micro-Seismology Intern at ExxonMobil in May 2009. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Geophysics and Seismology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics and Seismology from The University of Science and Technology of China.
