Laura Woodburn Ettinger has extensive work experience in the field of education and leadership development in the healthcare industry. Laura is currently serving as the Assistant Director of Education at The International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), a position they started in 2022. Prior to this, Laura worked for the American Hospital Association from 1998 to 2021, where they held the role of Executive Director of Education. In this role, they were responsible for designing and delivering executive education conferences and virtual events, generating significant revenue for the organization. Before joining the American Hospital Association, Laura worked at The Healthcare Forum as an Education Manager from 1989 to 1998. During their time there, they managed senior healthcare executive learning programs and developed customized leadership retreats. Laura's earlier work experience includes a position as a Research Manager at Advisory Board, where they worked with hospitals and health systems on strategic initiatives and best practices.
Laura Woodburn Ettinger has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric and Communication Studies from the University of Virginia. Laura also holds a Master of Science in Education degree, specializing in International and Comparative Education, from Indiana University Bloomington.
