Aoife O'Connor has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Aoife began their career as a Secondary Teacher of English and German at Balbriggan Community School and Modern Language Services. Aoife then worked as a Secondary Teacher of English and German at St. Andrew's College, where they taught various courses. In 1998, they joined ICT Eurotel as a Call Centre Analyst. Later, in 2001, they worked at Eircom as a Business Analyst and then as an IT Service Manager. At Vodafone Ireland, they held several roles, including Campaigns Manager, Senior Project Manager - Digital, and Digital Programmes Manager. Aoife joined The Irish Times in 2014 as a Digital Sales Manager and eventually became the Head of Digital Subscriptions Sales. Throughout their career, Aoife has demonstrated their expertise in digital sales, program management, campaign execution, and service delivery.

Aoife O' Connor's education history begins in 1988 when they attended University College Dublin for their Bachelor of Arts degree in German and English. Aoife continued their studies at the same institution and completed a Master of Arts degree in German in 1992. From 1988 to 1996, they also pursued a B.A., M.A., and Higher Diploma in Education, focusing on English, German, Linguistics, and Pedagogy.

In 1995, Aoife O' Connor attended University College Dublin again to obtain a Master of Arts degree in Germanic Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics. In 2010, they pursued a Diploma in Digital/Internet Marketing at Dublin Business School. The following year, they received a Certificate in Data Protection from ICS.

More recently, in 2019, Aoife O' Connor enrolled in Ulster University to pursue a Master of Science degree in Executive Leadership, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Aoife'sexpected graduation year is 2022.
