Conor Lally is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in security and crime reporting. Currently serving as Security and Crime Editor at The Irish Times since August 2002, Lally has won multiple 'Feature Writer of the Year' awards from the Newsbrands National Journalism Awards in 2017, 2018, and 2020, as well as the 'European Year Journalist Award 2010' for the 'Ireland Print Media' category while working as a Crime Correspondent. Previous roles include Finance Reporter at The Australian Financial Review and News Reporter positions at Evening Herald and The Sunday Tribune, where Lally received recognition as 'Young Journalist of the Year' at the ESB National Media Awards in 1997. Lally also served as Editor for the College Tribune at University College Dublin, earning 'Journalist of the Year' at the USI Irish Independent Student Media Awards in 1996.
