Ellen O'Riordan is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Acting Assistant News Editor and High Court Reporter at The Irish Times since November 2020, focusing on coverage of the High Court, Commercial Court, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court. Prior to this role, Ellen worked as a News Reporter for various publications, including The Western People, The Roscommon Herald, and The Irish Times Group from August 2019 to November 2020, as well as at The Irish Times from December 2018 to August 2019. Additional experience includes serving as an Editorial Intern at The Mail on Sunday and working as a Freelance Journalist and Editorial Assistant across several organizations from 2016 to 2019. Ellen holds a Master's degree in Investigative Journalism from City St George’s, University of London, and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from The Open University, along with a High School diploma in Professional Dance from Tring Park School for the Performing Arts. Ellen is also a certified Pilates and barre instructor and previously represented by Gielgud Agency as a dancer from 2014 to 2017.
