Yvonne Watterson

Yvonne Watterson currently serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships & Professional Learning at the Arizona Charter Schools Association since July 2016. Watterson has been a contributing writer for The Irish Times and IrishCentral since 2015 and 2013, respectively, focusing on opinion articles for an Irish American audience. As a content writer, Watterson operates Writing by Yvonne Watterson, established in 2011. Previous roles include Head of School at Girls Leadership Academy of Arizona, where Watterson led the redesign of a failing charter school, and Principal at Alhambra College Prep High School, contributing to the establishment of a college prep charter school. Watterson's extensive educational experience also includes serving as the Principal at GateWay Early College High School and teaching language arts in a gifted program. Watterson holds a Bachelor of Education from Stranmillis University College, along with a Master of Arts in Educational Administration and Supervision, and a Master of Arts in Adult and Continuing Education from the University of Phoenix.
