Sophia Popatia

Sophia Popatia serves as the Future Ready Initiative Navigator at The Ismaili Canada, supporting newcomers, immigrants, and refugees in their settlement and integration into Canada. In addition to this role, Sophia has gained valuable experience as a Special Events Intern with MediFacts, orchestrating events focused on healthcare education, and as Co-President of the Hemoglobal UWO Chapter, managing a team of executives to fundraise for children's health initiatives. Further commitments include serving as Vice President of Marketing for Women in STEM, where marketing strategies and social media engagement are prioritized, and working as a Clinical Shadowing Student at the Diabetes and Endocrinology Centre, which strengthened interests in internal medicine and endocrinology. Sophia holds a Biology major and a Health Science minor from Western University, is actively involved in leadership roles within the Western Ismaili Students Association, and is pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree at St. George's University.
