Emily McCarthy currently serves as the Liaison Nurse Manager at The Jack and Jill Children's Foundation since November 2023. Previously, Emily held various roles in oncology nursing at Mercy University Hospital, including Clinical Nurse Manager 2 and Clinical Nurse Manager 1 from January 2021 to September 2023. Experience at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin spanned from September 2015 to December 2020, where Emily worked as a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 and Staff Nurse. Early nursing career roles included positions at Nurse on Call Ireland, Ramsay Health Care, Nursing Australia Agency, and Cork University Hospital, all as a Staff Nurse. Emily holds a Higher Diploma in Pediatric Nursing from University College Dublin (2015-2016) and a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from University College Cork (2008-2012).

The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation is a nationwide charity that funds and provides in-home nursing care and respite support for children with severe to profound neurodevelopmental delay, up to the age of 6. This may include children with brain injury, genetic diagnosis, cerebral palsy and undiagnosed conditions. Another key part of our service is end-of-life care for all children up to the age of 6, irrespective of diagnosis. RCN - 2003621
