The James Irvine Foundation
Michelle Lo has extensive experience in program planning and strategy, currently serving in these roles at The James Irvine Foundation since May 2020. Prior to this, Michelle worked at Accenture as a Senior Strategy Analyst, focusing on business growth, development, content implementation, program management, and operational process improvement from June 2015 to May 2019. Additional roles include Program Insights & Research Associate at World Vision, Framework Change Strategy Associate at Ashoka, and Public Affairs Intern at the Center for Houston's Future, Inc. Michelle also contributed as a Content and Design Collaborator at the San Francisco Department of Public Health and was a Teaching Assistant and Counselor at The Harker School. Academically, Michelle holds a Master of Arts in Global Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Rice University, alongside a certificate from the School for International Training in Cities in the 21st Century.

The Foundation’s current focus is a California where all low-income workers have the power to advance economically. Since 1937 the Foundation has provided more than $2.4 billion in grants to organizations throughout California. The Foundation ended 2022 with $3.2 billion in assets and provided $187.3 million in grants.
