The James Irvine Foundation
Robia Lee currently serves as a Program Officer at The James Irvine Foundation, focusing on expanding opportunities for the people of California since September 2019, and previously held the position of Program Associate at the same organization. In 2021, Robia participated in the NCG Rising Leaders Cohort with Northern California Grantmakers, a program designed for emerging professionals in the philanthropic sector to enhance leadership and emotional intelligence skills. Prior experience includes working as an Education Research Analyst for the South San Francisco Unified School District and as a Community Literacy Specialist at Tandem, Partners in Early Learning. Robia Lee earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Comparative Literature from UCLA and also studied at The University of Hong Kong.

The Foundation’s current focus is a California where all low-income workers have the power to advance economically. Since 1937 the Foundation has provided more than $2.4 billion in grants to organizations throughout California. The Foundation ended 2022 with $3.2 billion in assets and provided $187.3 million in grants.
