Sharif Siddiqui has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial sector. Sharif began their career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Merrill Lynch in 2000 and later worked as an Investment Associate at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation from 2004 to 2006. Sharif then joined Citadel Investment Group as a Global Equities - Financials manager, where they managed a $1.1 billion portfolio from 2006 to 2013. In 2013, Mr. Siddiqui founded Alpenglow Capital LP, an asset management firm specializing in financial and real estate sectors. Sharif served as the Founder and Chief Investment Officer until 2017 and managed assets worth $300 million. In the same year, they became the Managing Director of Investments at The James Irvine Foundation, where they evaluated global investment opportunities for the $4.0 billion foundation. In 2016, Mr. Siddiqui became a Shareholder at Bonobos until 2017. Sharif then joined Sentieo as a Shareholder in 2018, where they remained until 2022.
Sharif Siddiqui began their education at Montclair Kimberley Academy, where they attended from 1983 to 1996. Sharif then moved on to Carnegie Mellon University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, completing their studies from 1996 to 2000. Afterward, they pursued further education at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, which they completed in 2007.
In terms of additional certifications, Sharif Siddiqui obtained a certification in Private Equity for the LP from the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) in January 2020. Additionally, they completed a course on Machine Learning: Implementation in Business at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in September 2019.
