Matthew Davis, PMP, ISA84 SFS, has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Matthew started their career at General Mills as an Operations Manager in 1989. Later, they joined Matrix Technologies, Inc. and worked as a Programmer/Senior Programmer, Project Leader, and then as a Senior Consultant in the Industrial Systems Division. In 2006, they became a Project Manager at Matrix Technologies. In 2011, Matthew joined the jdi group, Inc. as the Manager of Automation and Instrumentation Systems, eventually becoming a Principal and Senior Vice President. Matthew also held positions such as Director of Project Management, Director of Operations - Process Engineering, and Manager of the Project Management Department at jdi group. In 2013, they worked as a Project Engineer/Manager at PotashCorp until 2017. In 2018, they joined Nutrien as a Project Engineer/Manager and later served as a Control Systems Infrastructure Specialist. Matthew has a strong background in project management, industrial systems, and process engineering.
Matthew Davis, PMP, ISA84 SFS has a diverse education history that spans several decades. Matthew began their education at The University of Toledo, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Operations Management from 1986 to 1990.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Matthew attended Owens Community College from 1993 to 1995, where they pursued an Associate of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
In 2001, Matthew enrolled in the University of Michigan, attending both the School of Information and the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Matthew earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information from the School of Information and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing from the Ross School of Business. Matthew completed their studies at the University of Michigan in 2005.
Recently, Matthew has further expanded their knowledge and expertise by pursuing additional certifications. Matthew obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in August 2011. Additionally, they obtained certifications in various areas of cybersecurity from the International Society of Automation (ISA). These include the ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist certification in September 2019, the ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Risk Assessment Specialist certification in February 2021, the ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Design Specialist certification in March 2021, the ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Maintenance Specialist certification in April 2021, and the ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert certification in April 2021.
Currently, Matthew Davis is pursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology from Bowling Green State University, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
