Nicole Scatchell

Dance Faculty at The Joffrey Ballet

Nicole Scatchell is a seasoned dance educator and therapist with extensive experience in various educational and artistic roles. Currently serving as a Therapist at Pure Health Center since July 2024, Nicole has also held positions at The Chicago High School for the Arts as Dance and Theatre Faculty since August 2016, and as Dance Director at Chicago Public Schools - All City Performing Arts since July 2019. Nicole's contributions to higher education include being an Adjunct Instructor at City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College since August 2018 and serving as Dance Faculty at The Joffrey Ballet since August 2010. As Artistic Director at Chicago Dance Institute since March 2008, Nicole has shaped the artistic vision of the organization. Previous roles include Teaching Artist positions with Forward Momentum Chicago and Auditorium Theatre/Roosevelt University. Educationally, Nicole holds a Bachelor's degree in Dance from Columbia College Chicago, a Dance Education certification from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Counseling Psychology at The Chicago School.
