Emily Brown

Emily Brown is a highly skilled conservator specializing in sculpture and decorative arts, currently serving as the Conservator of Sculpture and Decorative Arts at The Ringling since December 2019. Brown's experience includes roles such as Mellon Fellow in Decorative Arts and Sculpture Conservation at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where responsibilities encompassed research, treatment of objects, and preventive conservation. Emphasis on collaboration and advanced techniques is evident from previous positions, including Project Conservator at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, and graduate internship roles at notable institutions such as the Winterthur Museum and The Walters Art Museum. Emily Brown holds a Master of Science in Art Conservation from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Moore College of Art and Design.
