Martha E. Church

Martha E. Church, Ph.D., serves as a Stephen Minister at the Church of the Palms in Sarasota, FL, since June 2015, providing caregiver support to church members. Concurrently, Martha has volunteered at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art since March 2010, enhancing visitor experiences through enthusiastic engagement. Previously, Martha held the position of President at Hood College from July 1975 to June 1995, achieving notable recognition for the institution and actively participating in alumni relations and fundraising efforts. Martha holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Spatial Analysis/Geography/Resource Management from the University of Chicago, a Master of Arts in Economic Geography/Resource Management from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Cartography from Wellesley College.
