Casey Hanley

Casey Hanley is an experienced professional in engineering and management, currently serving as an Assistant Program Manager and Engineer in the Human Performance and Biomechanics Group at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory since March 2018. Previous roles include Supervisory Biomedical Engineer and Acting Deputy Director at the FDA from September 2009 to March 2018, where responsibilities included leading the Joint and Fracture Fixation One Branch within the Division of Orthopedic Devices. Additionally, Casey was a Lead Biomedical Reviewer at the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Disease from June 2008 to August 2009 and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Vermont from June 2003 to May 2008. Education includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont, a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, expected to complete in May 2024.
