Joshua Broadwater

Joshua Broadwater is an experienced professional in the field of electrical engineering, currently serving as the Program Area Manager at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory since January 1999, overseeing civilian health programs focused on health protection and assurance technologies. Joshua has held various leadership roles throughout the career, including Group Supervisor, where the management of over 60 staff members to develop novel imaging capabilities was a key responsibility. Prior to the current position, Joshua gained experience as a Faculty Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, a Software Engineer at Harris Corporation, and an Electrical Engineer at Motorola Advanced Products Division, among others. Joshua holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a BE in Applied Mathematics & Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
