Tanner Fowler is currently a Software Developer at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, having started in June 2022. Prior to this role, Tanner served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where involvement included designing and implementing neuromorphic architectures and performing verification and testing of digital neuron designs. Additionally, Tanner worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, supporting various computer science courses and grading student submissions. Tanner’s experience includes a Data Engineering Internship with the U.S. Army PEO STRI, where skills in designing dashboards for server metrics and implementing automated alert systems were developed. Tanner holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, expected to be completed in June 2026.
