Paul Wharton is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in strategic management and financial leadership. Currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at The Jones Family Business since December 2016, Paul oversees strategy, finance, shared services, and HR functions while preparing long-term business plans and KPIs. Previous roles include Management Consultant focusing on business transformation and project management, and various leadership positions at KiwiRail, where responsibilities ranged from strategic program direction to procurement and treasury management. Earlier in the career, Paul held key financial positions at Fonterra and BayernLB, demonstrating expertise in liquidity management, risk assessment, and derivatives trading. Paul holds an MBA in Strategy, Finance, and Accountancy from Bayes Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Canterbury, complemented by CPA Australia certification.
