Joel Dean is an experienced journalist with a focus on Capitol reporting at The Journal Record since 2015. Prior to this role, Joel worked as a reporter for Duncan Banner from 2014 to 2015 and served as an editor at EastWord News from 2013 to 2014. Early in the career, Joel functioned as the news editor for the Talon from 2011 to 2013. Joel holds a degree in Journalism and Creative Writing from Oklahoma Christian University, achieved in 2014.
