Vanessa Valenzuela

First Year Experience (fye) Faculty at The Juilliard School

Vanessa Valenzuela is an accomplished educational professional with extensive experience in international education and student services. Currently serving as First Year Experience Faculty and Assistant Dean of International Advisement and Student Diversity Initiatives at The Juilliard School since January 2021, Vanessa previously held the position of Director of International Student & Scholar Services at La Salle University from April 2014 to February 2021. Additionally, Vanessa has experience as a Supervisory Program Specialist at the United States Department of Defense, where responsibilities included developing programs for staff and youth. Vanessa holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Drexel University, alongside a Master of Science in Global and International Education, and a Master of Arts in History from La Salle University. Undergraduate studies culminated in a Bachelor of Arts in History from William Paterson University of New Jersey, complemented by a semester abroad in Egyptology at The American University in Cairo.
