Chris Nicol has over a decade of experience in electrical and firmware engineering, currently serving as an Electrical Engineer at SMART Technologies since July 2010, where responsibilities include developing hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and various educational devices. Previously, Chris worked as a Firmware Engineer at SMART Technologies, creating firmware and diagnostic tools for similar products. Before this, Chris was an Electronics Contractor at the Science Alberta Foundation, designing and repairing educational devices, and served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary, supporting lab courses. Chris began a career as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom, focusing on control systems for the forestry industry. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
