Viral Shah

Viral B. Shah is a prominent figure in the field of numerical computing and technology, serving as the Co-founder and CEO of JuliaHub since July 2015. In this role, Viral B. Shah has led the development of a platform aimed at enhancing the capabilities of technical users in various engineering disciplines through the Julia programming language. As a Co-Creator of the Julia Language since August 2009, Viral B. Shah has contributed to the creation of a high-performance, dynamic language that supports advanced numerical computing. Previous experience includes roles as Co-Author at Rebooting India, where critical societal insights were presented, and as Manager of Financial Inclusion at the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), where impactful Aadhaar-based payment systems were designed. Earlier in the career, Viral B. Shah worked as a Senior Scientist at Interactive Supercomputing, contributing to parallel scientific computing technologies. Educational credentials include a PhD in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from PVPPCOE.
