Carly D began their career in 2013 at Porthouse Theatre, where they worked as Box Office Staff and later as House Manager, demonstrating their organizational skills and ability to coordinate with various departments.

Most recently, Carly joined Chelsea Factory as a Technical Director, where they utilized their knowledge and experience to oversee technical aspects of productions. In 2022, they joined The Kagency as an Operations Coordinator, showcasing their adaptability and ability to handle administrative and operational tasks.

Carly D Shiner completed their education at Kent State University from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology. Prior to that, they attended Green High School from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, in May 2013, Carly obtained certifications in CPR and First Aid from the Red Cross.
