Regina Biswas Thomas

Regina Biswas Thomas currently serves as the State's GIS Systems Developer and Administrator for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, beginning in October 2023. Previously, Regina worked as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at Savion, LLC from September 2020 to October 2023, focusing on maintaining the GIS database and developing custom GIS applications. Earlier experience includes roles such as Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Kansas, where Regina provided consultative services in GIS, and as the 2018 Dangermond Fellow at the National Audubon Society, offering geospatial expertise for conservation projects. Education includes a Master’s degree in Geography from The University of Kansas and a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering Technology from Gautam Buddha University, along with additional diplomas in energy and natural resources law and a Bachelor's degree in Physics.
