Ari Katz

Ari Katz started their work experience in 2016 as a Camp Counselor and Climbing Instructor at Lake of the Woods & Greenwoods Family of Camps, where they collaborated with a team to plan activities and supervise campers. From 2018 to 2018, Ari worked as an Energy Exchanger at Prana Das Yoga, where they helped maintain the studio and participated in exchange for free yoga classes.

In 2018, Ari also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Hurricane Island Foundation, where they co-taught ecology and marine biology programs and led a Leave No Trace course.

Ari's experience at Haverford College includes multiple roles. They were a Course Co-Facilitator, working with co-facilitators to run a remote introductory course on interdependence and social change. They were also a Teaching Assistant, helping to develop and facilitate a praxis course. Additionally, they worked as a Student Advancement Officer.

At the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) from 2020 to 2021, Ari served as a Gardens Fellow, where they coordinated the Gardening Contest, assisted with webinar management, and helped coordinate a grant-funded project.

From 2021 to 2022, Ari worked as a Philanthropy Fellow at RespectAbility, assisting the development team with prospect research, grant proposals, and press releases, while also receiving training in philanthropy and disability inclusion.

Currently, Ari holds the position of Operations & Development Associate at The Kelsey, where they pioneer disability-forward, inclusive housing solutions and lead efforts to advance strategies and policies for inclusivity.

Ari Katz completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geology (honors) and Environmental Studies (high honors) at Haverford College from 2016 to 2020. In 2018, they also attended the School for International Training to study Climate Change for a brief period. Before college, Ari studied at Glenbrook North High School from 2012 to 2016. Currently, Ari is pursuing a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Disability Studies at the CUNY School of Professional Studies, which began in 2021 and is expected to be completed in 2024.
