Dean Rader is a seasoned academic and writer with extensive experience in the field of English and literature. Currently serving as a Professor in the Department of English and The Honors College at the University of San Francisco since 2001, Rader also contributes to various literary platforms as a columnist for The Huffington Post and Los Angeles Review of Books, as well as a writer for The Rumpus and The Kenyon Review. Appointed to the Board of Trustees at San Francisco Day School in August 2020, Rader has a diverse background that includes roles as a columnist/reviewer for the San Francisco Chronicle and an Evaluation Specialist for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Rader holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature with a focus on Poetry and Poetics and American Literature from Binghamton University, alongside a Master's in the same field and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Baylor University.
