Christopher Hanes is an experienced technical designer and project manager with a diverse background in the performing arts and event production. Currently serving as the Head Carpenter at Kimmel Cultural Campus since August 2021, Christopher has also operated Hanes Technical Design since June 1999, specializing in CAD services and technical direction. Prior positions include Special Effects Set Foreman for the HBO series Mare of Eastown, Senior Technical Designer at LeapStarr Productions, and Technical Director at Opera Philadelphia and Walnut Street Theatre. Christopher's educational background includes a BFA in Theater Arts with an emphasis in Scenic Design from Penn State University, complemented by experience as an adjunct professor at the University of the Arts. Proficient in budget management, labor supervision, and project oversight, Christopher has contributed to successful productions and events across various organizations.
