Art Garcia, MPH, is an experienced professional in strategic learning, research, and evaluation, currently serving as the Interim Co-lead and Strategic Learning & Evaluation Officer at The Kresge Foundation since May 2021. Garcia fosters an equity-centered approach in grantmaking and evaluation, managing the foundation's budget and leading practices aimed at promoting justice and inclusion. Additionally, Garcia participated as a 2023 TNF PLACES Fellow, focusing on community equity and systemic change in philanthropy. Previous roles include Data Consultant for LA County’s Measure J Initiative, Learning Manager at First 5 LA, and Senior Research Analyst at SSG Research & Evaluation. Garcia holds a Master of Public Health from UCLA and has completed leadership programs through Fourth Quadrant Partners and the Southern California Leadership Network.
