Monica Valdes Lupi

Monica Valdes Lupi, JD, MPH, currently serves as the Managing Director at The Kresge Foundation, leading a team focused on equity-oriented health systems. Prior to this role, Monica worked as an Advisor at the CDC Foundation, assisting efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, and as a Senior Fellow at the de Beaumont Foundation, where contributions were made towards public health issues such as tobacco control and health equity. As the Executive Director of the Boston Public Health Commission, Monica managed extensive health services and programs. Earlier experience includes leadership roles at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, with respective focuses on health systems transformation and maternal child health. Monica holds a Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson Law, a Master of Public Health from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Bryn Mawr College.
