Mike Downey is an accomplished Strategic Sourcing Category Manager with extensive experience in managing multi-million dollar spend across various industries. Currently at Kroger, Mike oversees a $260M addressable spend in Maintenance, Repair, and Operations, achieving over $20M in savings and delivering significant improvements in working capital. Previous roles include managing substantial budgets at GE Aviation and GE, where Mike demonstrated strong negotiation skills and implemented process efficiencies that resulted in millions in savings. Mike holds a Master’s of Science in Organizational Leadership from Mount St. Joseph University and has been recognized for leadership and mentoring contributions within organizations.
