James Guffey

James "Buck" Guffey is an experienced professional with a strong background in project management and operations. Currently serving as the Vice President of Operations at Northern Powerline Constructors, Inc. since October 2018, Guffey also holds the position of Project Manager at The L.E. Myers Co. and Sturgeon Electric since April 2016 and April 2009, respectively. Guffey's expertise includes leading projects from inception to completion, estimating bids, managing performance, and overseeing field crews. Prior experience includes working as a Lineman for IBEW and serving as an Infantry Officer in the US Army, where Guffey led and trained soldiers while managing significant operational responsibilities. Guffey holds a Master's degree in Project Management from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
